Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape.
In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.
Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.
We are currently seeking a Senior Planner who will report to the Assistant Planning Manager, China as part of our dynamic team in China.
ROLE
You will support the Planning department to maximize our sales potential, working on the new collection sales target and carry over demand planning for all categories.
MISSION
- Compose weekly, seasonal, and ad hoc business recaps and analyses on financial performance;
- Cooperate with Kering data team to maintain the weekly report accuracy and keep enhance the report function to fulfill the analysis needs.
- Weekly Price Spread analysis.
- Responsible for carry over sku monthly best estimates for rolling 12 months, partnering closely with local merchandising and HQ demand planning team;
- Responsible for monitoring carry over stock levels and implement the permanent strategy determined together with merchandising, ensuring adequate stock levels for volume-drivers and key items.
- Bi-weekly target stock projection based on the sales plan, monitor sales, provide hindsight analysis to support the forecast.
- Assist planning leader to set category target for all DOS doors in Anaplan.
- Responsible for campaign category sales plan base on the latest category sales trend, seek sales opportunity to guide retail team achieve campaign target.
- Responsible for collection sales plan. Based on bottom up carry over monthly forecast, identify the needs of newness to achieve the category sales plan.
- Simulation the seasonal OTB to fulfill collection sales strategy.
- Support the Planning team in ad hoc projects and assignments as needed
- Coordinate with vendor to hold family and friends sales as a key contact window.
PROFILE
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics desired
- 2-4 years of previous working experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of supply chain, demand planning and logistics
- Quantitative analytical skills and computer savvy
- Reliability in data analysis and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft (Master of Excel)
- Experience in Anaplan/JDA/Power BI is an advantage
- Rigorous, meticulous and resourceful
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Fluency in English
- Experience in luxury/fashion business a plus
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Able to work across functional areas / levels of the organization and to interact at distance
- Able to simplify and synthesize information
- Listen well to others (empathy), client-centric (commercial mindset)
- Adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity, accept new ideas, people and procedures.
- Flexible and able to work under pressure.
