Women in Motion backs the fourth edition of the Sœurs Jumelles festival

For the fourth consecutive year, Women In Motion is supporting the Sœurs Jumelles festival, taking place in Rochefort from June 25 to 30, 2024. These five days of artistic and professional exchanges, concerts, screenings and premieres are an opportunity for discussion, learning and fun.
This year's edition will also see Women In Motion, alongside the festival and Madame Figaro, hand out its first Emerging Talent Award for Music and Image.

The Sœurs Jumelles festival and Women in Motion

Founded in 2021 by Julie Gayet, actress and producer, Delphine Paul, marketing director, and Eric Débègue, music publisher and producer, the Sœurs Jumelles festival fosters a dialogue between music and image through artistic exchanges, concerts and screenings.
Artists and professionals from the worlds of film, animation, documentaries, advertising, series, music videos, virtual reality and video games share their thoughts about the challenges they share with their counterparts in music – whether they work in classical, electronica, urban, jazz, contemporary or other genres.
Throughout the Festival, the city that served as the backdrop for The Young Girls of Rochefort also welcomes the general public into exceptional venues, such as the Corderie Royale rope-making museum and the Coupe d'Or Theater.

Driven by Kering's commitment to moving the needle on gender inequality in the music and visual arts industries, Women In Motion has sponsored the festival since its inception to showcase the work of women directors and achieve greater representation of women in culture and the arts.

The first Emerging Talent Award for Music and Image

For the first time, the Festival, Women In Motion and Madame Figaro are teaming up to award a grant to an emerging songwriter-composer-singer.
Building on the awards handed out to film professionals in Cannes and to photographers in Arles, Kering is doubling down on its desire to honor and support female talent, this time in the music professions.
To encourage sisterhood and sharing, the 2024 winner will be a part of the jury that selects the winner of the 2025 Women In Motion for Emerging Talent Award for Music.

Emerging Talent Award for Music and Image handed out at the fourth Sœurs Jumelles festival

This year, the award will be given to the artist-songwriter-singer Solann on stage at the Coupe d'Or Theater on the evening of June 26.
The award ceremony will be followed by a performance by the winner and a talk in which she will be interviewed by artist Keren Ann.

An evening of concerts paying tribute to singer Dani, entitled Amour Toujours, will take place after the award ceremony and Solann's performance.
