    The 2023 edition of ChangeNOW welcomed 35,000 visitors from 120 countries, highlighted 300 innovative solutions and gave the microphone to over 400 speakers. More than 5,000 meetings and business meetings took place during the summit, and dozens of thematic learning expeditions were held to plunge into the heart of ChangeNOW and bring together companies and changemakers.

    This year, Kering took the floor on two separate stages.

    On "The Nest" stage, in a round-table discussion on planetary limits, Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering's Director of Sustainable Development and Institutional Affairs stressed the need for ambitious targets as well as the Group's commitment to reduce its absolute emissions by 40% by 2035, on a 2021 baseline.

    On the "Collective stage", Laurence Barrère, Director of Sustainable Finance at Kering, spoke alongside Gautier Quéru, Director of Natural Capital at Mirova: together, they presented the Climate Fund for Nature which was created in 2022 in collaboration with the premium and sustainable cosmetics company, L’OCCITANE Group.

    At the same time, Kering invited, as every year, a selection of startups from among the 225 with which the Group works. The aim was to highlight their innovations and accelerate their development. Visitors to ChangeNOW were thus able to discover:

    • Sericyne and its leather alternative using sericulture and natural 3D silk;
    •
    • Materra and its hydroponic cotton project and a novel datadriven approach to promote regenerative practices for cotton;

    • MoguEphea® and its effective alternative to leather, first used to make a mycelium-based coat for Balenciaga.

    • The Fashion for Good accelerator which attended the 2023 summit with support from two of Kering's experts in the dyeing process: Colorifix and Nature Coatings.

    ChangeNOW was launched 5 years ago with the aim of building bridges between entrepreneurs, business leaders and policy makers to accelerate change. Kering has supported this summit of solutions for the planet since its inception.
