At the centre of sustainable fashion

The London College of Fashion celebrated the fifth anniversary of its Centre for Sustainable Fashion this month.

 

The unique centre connects research, education and business to support, inspire and create innovative approaches to fashion. It aims to provoke, challenge and question the fashion status quo.

 

The celebrations of the anniversary took place in the form of a roundtable debate between influential personalities in fashion and sustainability. Hosted by Frances Corner OBE, head of LCF, and Livia Firth, founder of Green Carpet Challenge, the guests included HRH The Countess of Wessex, LFC’s patron, and leading names from political and business circles, including Marie-Claire Daveu, chief sustainability officer at Kering. The panel discussed the sustainability challenges they face, from design process to business delivery.
