JOB AD
Cristóbal Balenciaga founded his House in 1917 in his home country, Spain. In 1937, he established his brand in Paris, where he designed his collections until 1968. As a couturier, Cristóbal Balenciaga offered demanding creations and was known for making no compromises, earning him the title of "the master of all" from Christian Dior and "the couturier of couturiers" from Gabrielle Chanel. His ultra-modern shapes became the signature of the House.
While the identity of the House is primarily rooted in its conceptual ready-to-wear collections, its leather goods, shoes, and other accessories have also achieved worldwide success. The House’s bags have become icons of contemporary leather goods. Launched in Summer 2017, the Balenciaga Men’s ready-to-wear collections quickly became a success internationally.
Since October 2015, Demna has been the creative director and designs all of the House’s collections.
Balenciaga, which has been part of the Kering Group since 2001, is one of the most influential names in the fashion world.
