We are currently seeking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Sustainability Intern to support our Sustainability initiatives, who will report to the Sustainability Manager. The position will be based in Milan.
Your opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join the Sustainability team within the Supply Chain & Logistics team which aims to reduce the impact of our operations in the environment. Following corporate agenda and targets of decarbonization, the role has the opportunity to interact with all brands and teams in the join efforts. Besides decarbonization, the team has challenging targets like removing single use plastic (SUP) from our operations and work closely with vendors, network, and partners to find and promote circular practices like recycled pallets, reusable totes for deliveries and other innovative solutions to our day-to-day operations.
Moreover, this role will have a big impact in how we manage and work with data. Understanding the impact of new CSRD regulation coming in place, the role needs to contribute to guarantee that we collect the environmental data that is suit for the reporting standards.
How you will contribute
You will work collaboratively with team members, actively participate in discussions, decisions and all the project activities:
- Contribute in the decarbonization journey, engaging with brands and carriers to facilitate the change
- Engage with the sustainability global network to keep track of the SUP removal in our facilities
- Support with data capturing tools and environmental reporting
- Participate in events and network to ensure we are up to date with latest practice and pioneering solutions
- Get to know internally our operations and different flows to offer tailor-made solutions to our brands
- Keep current and informed about latest legislations impacting our operating countries
- Involve in the energy reduction efforts not just in our global warehouse in Trecate but also worldwide to meet our saving goals.
Who you are
- A graduate or soon to be graduate in Economics, Business Management, Engineering or related areas
- Studies and/or project work in Supply Chain and sustainability
- Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBI as a plus
- Fluent in English, Italian and French would be a plus
- Organized and detail focused individual
- Proactive, problem-solver, with analytical mindset
- Teamwork oriented
- Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
