Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape.
In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.
Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.
We are currently seeking a WW Retail Operations Specialist who will report to the WW Retail Operations Director as part of our Retail Excellence team based in Paris. This role within the WW Operations department will have a clear focus on the non-merchandise activities for the brand, the WW Retail Operations Specialist will act as a strong partner to the regional retail operations managers, supporting the coordination and management of non-merchandise operational topics while liaising with HQ and the group corporate departments.
MISSION
1) PROCESSES
- Share and train the regional teams on the WW packaging, uniform and hospitality tools standards and processes in coordination with the Visual Identity and Supply Chain teams
- Forecast all yearly volumes for packaging, uniform and hospitality tools needs
- Follow up in detail the implementation of the guidelines and ensure compliance in the regions
- Coordinate the uniforms orders flow and follow up on production deliveries and regional needs
- Support the stationery and packaging requests process flow
- Manage the on-line in-store supplies tools and the relationships with the platform suppliers
- Ensure the non-merchandise is properly managed and stored according to the Brand and Group guidelines
- Maintain and create clear and accurate documentations/procedures for the store references in our Retail Handbook
- Follow up stock levels of packaging, uniforms and packaging both at central and regional levels in coordination with Supply Chain team
- Foster continuous feedback from regions for processes improvement
- Maintain the WW Retail Handbook guidelines up-to date
- Coordinate and follow up the Regional Retail Handbook adaptations
- Manage Invoices & Payment Flow with external partners
- Support on different Image and IT Retail Operations ad-hoc projects
2) SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BUSINESS
- Support the brand strategy by collaborating with the regions and implementing back-office non-merchandise action plans
- Evaluate current operational performance and provide action plans for improvements
3) EFFICIENCY OF THE NETWORK
- Coordinate and manage in-store systems, ensuring a delivery within the dedicated budget and timeline (Uniform tools, office supplies platform). Assess the tools against the brand business needs and challenge the processes for efficiency purpose.
- Identify and anticipate problems in operations processes and resolve them in a quickly and timely manner.
- Improve the efficiency of the non-merchandise operational activities at the store level (ordering, inbound and outbound processes, integration with brand and group ecosystem)
- Assessment of regional processes versus the WW standards with regional operations teams and definition of action plans for increased optimization and harmonization.
4) BRAND IMAGE
- Ensure that the service to the regions and stores upholds the brand image (Deliveries leadtime, incident resolution, new tools….)
- Consistently provide the highest level of professionalism in all behaviors including communication and teamwork
- Ensure that all delicate situations regarding store requests and the back-office processes are dealt accordingly in line with our Image guidelines
- Work with all internal and external stakeholders (contractors, staff, clients), with a service-oriented, collaborative, available and versatile approach
PROFILE
- University degree in Business or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years in managing store retail operations and ensuring stock accuracy within retail industry
- Experience in running IT driven systems and applications at the store level
- Excellent communication skills, structured, organized
- Flexibility to adapt to changing retail environment and able to accompany the strategy development
- Fluent in English and French; Italian is a plus
- Travel is expected 15% of the time
