Kering Finance Shared Service - Korea
Context of the Position
- Between 2013 and 2019, Kering has built a strong network of 17 Finance Shared Service Centers, covering all brands present in the main regions of the group. This common structure and governance promote process harmonization and best practices sharing across geographies, helping Kering becoming an integrated luxury group.
- With a very strong sponsorship of group senior management, Kering Finance Shared Services (KFSSC) has initiated a global transformation to re-invent and streamline shared service processes. This project leverages significant investment in technology (Implementation of SAP FMS & S4 Finance, Blackline, Concur, Esker, Avalara, IBM Trirega…) and will span over 3 years (2019 to 2021). A global change community has been set-up across Kering SSC and change management is supported by external consultants.
- Accounting Finance is one of the back-office functions in Kering Korea Finance Shared Service Center (KFSSC) established in 2013. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for administration related the dynamic activities of KFSSC. KFSSC provides group brands, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen and Boucheron with various service level of Finance & Accounting side.
Macro Objectives
- Ensure the accuracy of Finance figures
- Overall responsible to deliver P2P transactional activities: Employee Business Expense & 3rd party Vendor Payment
- Responsible for day to day finance and accounting functions
- Support and control group brands to retain company regulations on their operation.
- Involve new SAP system implementation preparation anticipating changes and data migration as part of Finance Transformation journey
- Automate daily bank reconciliation and make it the primary control over cash. Limit document-based controls to exception
- Streamline AP runs and payment process, increase Internal Controls
- Improve liquidity and funding management through liquidity planning and effective control cashflows
- Implement BAM to enhance the control of bank account data and assuring the robust management of opening and amendment operations, and provision of strong audit visibility
- Automate the daily posting of cash pooling entries and real-time reporting of cash balance increasing the accuracy of cash flow forecasting
Sub-Objectives
- Review and bookkeeping for all employee & store expense claims and vendor expenses assist with brand financial operation.
- Check and review vendor voucher, employee & store expense claims with eligible payment evidences.
- Monitor recurring expense and communicate to brand for missing expense
- Check the outstanding account payable and due date.
- Reconcile between system book payable amount and each intercompany reconciliation file every month-end.
- Reconcile between all bank accounts on employee, store, vendor and the beneficiary.
- Make a payment for taxes, custom duties and intercompany transactions by the designated date.
- Review the invoices and references for international payments.
- Match flagship store daily cash sales with the bank statements.
- Collect the receivables amounts concerning department stores, duty-free shop, e-commerce stores.
- Annual audit and Tax related (GL)
- Prepare the supporting documents for Corporate tax adjustment by auditor’s request.
- Coordinate and support external audit related with P2P transactions (Yearly basis)
- Declare and pay for the local income, residence and withholding tax by 10th of the next month.
- Adhoc Support head of finance shared service center.
- Maintain daily cashflows statements.
- Prepare cash position and cash flow report by monthly.
Teamwork Objective
- Lead change management with all stakeholders of the transformation project: teams, internal client (Brands and group functions), 3rd parties (Customers, Auditors…). Ensure the buy-in of all parties by communicating effectively, collecting feed-back, providing training and advocating the underlying transformation strategy.
- Drive the financial related action plans according to Brand requests to ensure a proper resource to support the business growth.
- Supported by the Regional P2P & Internal Control Manager, implement Kering P2P solution to support.
Long-Term Strategic Objectives
- Through process and skills improvement, contribute to the progress of Korea Finance SSC organization toward ISO certification on quality & controls
- Leveraging on the new processes and the additional technology, implement continuous accounting & fast-close (1 day close)
Must have
- +10 years experience in overall accounting & financial operations
- +5 years people management experience
- +5 years retail business experience including year end closing & external audit in charge
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in Excel
- Finance transformation project experience including SAP & Blackline implementation
- Korean native speaker with fluent written and verbal English skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to effectively communicate with people at all levels.
