We are looking for a Local Merchandiser to join our Northern Europe Merchandising team based in our Old Bond Street office on a 1-year fixed term/maternity cover contract.
You will report directly to the Merchandising Manager, Northern Europe and will support the implementation of the Regional Merchandising strategy across all categories to improve business performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor together with the Merchandising Manager product/store performance through qualitative feedback and identify growth opportunities
- Visit own and competitor’s stores and subsequently provide constructive feedback to the Merchandising manager (e.g. missing functionality, fitting, sizing etc. as well as special events/holidays and competitor's activities)
- Reporting and analysis monitoring detailed sales and stock for the specific category (style, store, etc.)
- Analyze pre-buy qualitative feedback as well as client insight at store level
- Work actively with the Merchandising Manager during Buy Campaigns for all categories, at Country/Store level to support the customization of each assortment to individual store needs, full potential, and new opportunities
- Support in the interactions with MarCom, Client Engagement, Training, VM and Retail teams to promote and push products, maximize potential of events as well as drive sales
- Constantly exchange with VM & stores to propose actions to drive business (VM change, stock support, training, gaining quality client feedback…)
- Handle in autonomy client requests in timely manner
Key Requirements
- Proven and solid experience in a Buyer/Merchandiser role within the Fashion & Luxury industry with strong product knowledge. This is not an entry level role.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Analytical capabilities and numeric aptitude
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages would be a plus
