Your opportunity
You will analyze and interpret financial reports and statements of Italian legal entities and put in place actionable plans that transform numbers into business growth. As part of the Corporate Accounting team, you’ll ensure the smooth running of accounting activities in the Milan office while enhancing better understanding of the financial impact of decisions on the business.
How you will contribute
• Keeping track of order cycle, invoices and payments’ approvals
• Recording and issuing invoices, imputation and cost evaluation
• Supporting in inter-company reconciliations
• Petty-cash bookkeeping, financial reporting and reconciliations of bank accounts
• Balancing and processing monthly financial statements
• Ensuring the correct keeping of accounting books and mandatory records and the verification, control and filing of tax documents
• Processing ordinary tax (preparation and dispatching of the “spesometro”, settlement and VAT declarations, R.A. certifications, Intrastat management)
• Monitoring of credits and recovery of overdue ones
• Closing of the financial statements (including settlement and correction entries)
• Preparation of statutory financial statements
• Auditing activities
• Preparing ad-hoc reports and analysis, following the management needs
• Cooperating with controlling department to support the monthly reporting and budget/forecast activities
Who you are
• You have a degree in Economics or a diploma in Accounting
• You have at least a former experience in the role
• You have a good knowledge both of principles that govern the general and fiscal accounting of a company and of national and international accounting standards (IFRS)
• You are familiar with analytical-management accounting and budgeting procedures, business economics, tax law and business organization
• You are an analytical, detail-oriented person who understands the importance of confidentiality • You are an effective and positive team player able to work with a high level of autonomy, when needed • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel especially (knowledge of AS400, JD Edwards and/or SAP will be a plus) • You are fluent in Italian, with a good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
