    This position will have primary responsibility for managing and processing unclaimed property for Kering and its portfolio of Houses in compliance with state regulations. You will work closely with internal colleagues and liaise with external advisors to identify, recover, and maintain records of unclaimed assets, such as gift cards, customer credits, deposits, uncashed checks, vendor credits, and other unclaimed items. This position will also support other indirect tax compliance, including sales/use tax, business licenses and annual reports.

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    • Research and Identification: Work closely with external advisors and cross-functional teams to identify unclaimed property
    • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.
    • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of unclaimed property, including detailed documentation of efforts to locate owners.
    • Owner Outreach: Coordinate with external advisors to initiate and manage outreach efforts to locate and notify owners of unclaimed property. Handle inquiries and claims from property owners.
    • Recovery and Remittance: Facilitate the recovery of unclaimed property and ensure proper and timely reporting and remittance to state authorities or rightful owners.
    • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of unclaimed property and indirect tax management.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, external agencies, and state authorities to ensure compliance and streamline processes.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in unclaimed property management/compliance.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and research skills
    • Knowledge of state unclaimed property laws and regulations
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with unclaimed property voluntary disclosure filings and annual compliance.
    • Certified Public Accountant or Advanced tax degree.
