    Job Family Group Description - Merchandising: Includes all jobs responsible for selection, availability and visibility of brands’ collections and products within a given territory or for a given sales channel. Job Family Description -Merchandising Management / Generalist: Leads and contributes to merchandising actions across spectrum of activities. Guides and supports decision-making related to the brands’ collections.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Bottega Veneta Japan operates a network of over 50 stores across multiple retail channels (Department Stores, Free Standing Stores, Outlets Stores, and e-commerce).
    A buying process always comes first in a retail flow and buying accuracy is a key to success. A deep market knowledge for products in Japan market and experiences are indispensable to maximize sales through effective directions and management. General Merchandising Manager will be fully responsible for all categories liaising with Visual Merch, Retail team, Client engagement team, finance and Marketing/PR team to maximize sales and brand value.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


    Buying/Allocation
    -Implement effective buying in Milan based on OTB, sales trends and brand strategies.
    -Define and review buying assortment and distribution plans with HQ retail merch team.
    -Manage healthy stock level and allocations to maximise sales and achieve sell through targets.
    -Tracking delivery including seasonal and replenishment.
    -Request replenishments for all categories.

    Training/Store visit
    -Organise Product training sessions in line with each new collection launch
    -Ensure to make an effective display, promotions and give a training for key investments liaising with VMD, PR and training team
    -Visit stores regulary to give a training, share sales information and product strategy

    Reporting/ Building strategy/Planning
    -Analyze market trends, competitor information for Japan and Guam and share with stores, HQ
    -Manage buying budget(OTB) and sales plan based on a local merchandising strategy with a Merchandising planner
    -Submit product requests based on local market trends, competitor analysis
    -Build local merchandising strategy with buyers and develop appropriate products including exclusive for events, pop-ups.
     
    Team Management/Cross-functional collaboration
    -Ensure Merchandising, Merchandising operartion, and Quality control team are effectively resourced and motivated.
    -Drive and develop a team performance through effective team building and coaching
    -Cross-functional collaboration with HQ Retail Merch, Retail, Marketing, CRM, CE, QC, VMD, Finance

    TEAM STRUCTURE & RESOURCES

    ‑    Under GMM, there are 4 functions: Buyers, MD Planning, MD Operation, and Quality Control.
    ‑        Depending on the candidate's level of experiences and areas of responsibilities (categories), incumbent may have report(s).
    ‑    Key Work Relationship will be as follows:
        Internal:HQ Retail Merch, Retail, Marketing, CRM, CE, QC, VMD and Finance
        External: Model agency, Warehouse, etc


    QUALIFICATIONS
    ‑    University degree
    ‑    Merchandising skill : ideally more than 7 years
    ‑    Experience in luxury industry with Women's products
    ‑    Experience in leading team including coaching and mentoring
    ‑    Language skills: Fluent English and Japanese
    ‑    Computer skills : Excel, PPT
    ‑    Good communication skills with sense of ownership
