    ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

    ROLE

    This position is based in the Saint Laurent Singapore office, reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, Southeast Asia Oceania, heading up all HR disciplines for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and new countries focus in retail section.  

    You will identify and deliver HR strategies to support business goals and drive results with the responsibility for all HR activities and the end-to-end employee lifecycle. You will play an ambassador role in delivering the company’s culture empowering and inspiring to drive the talent and leadership capabilities.

    MISSION

    Talent Acquisition

    • Define the recruitment strategy to hire the best talents fitting with Saint Laurent’s culture and business needs. Well monitor different channels’ effectiveness and efficiency to optimize the channel mix with minimal cost.
    • With strong market intelligence for talent market, build key positions’ market mapping as external talent pool.
    • Support the opening of new stores in existing country and new country, with proper staffing, orientation, attachment plans, especially to identify Store Director level.
    • Lead the recruitment process and ensure a positive experience during the onboarding process for all new employees, enhance candidate experience as part of Employer Branding strategy

    Performance and Talent Management

    • Drive and facilitate the Performance Management process.
    • Coach store leaders to manage high and low performers in a timely and impactful manner, support the skill gaps and training needs analysis, guide them to create relevant development plans to support people growth.
    • Lead talent review discussions to identify internal staff’s performance/ potential, support store leaders to grow people from within to build internal pipeline to support succession plan. Lead Talent Development Framework and organize regular Development Day.

    Engagement and Retention

    • Act as Key Contact Person during employee journey with the Company. Enhance employee experience from on-board to off-board as part of Employer Branding strategy.
    • Take initiatives to enhance staff engagement and commitment. Strong in market intelligence about competitors’ people practices supporting internal review to our talent attraction and retention.
    • Implement a holistic communication strategy to implement HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

    Employee Relations

    • Develop strong and trusted partnerships with internal business clients providing coaching and advice on people-related matters.
    • Properly manage the employee relations and assure a constructive and collaborative corporate climate.
    • Act as a consultant and proactively engage in employee cases. Assess and resolve employee cases. Ensure the cases to be well managed with appropriate procedure, communication and legal compliance.

    Others

    • Lead the employee lifecycle management and utilize HRIS from job requisition to posting, to on boarding, performance management and off boarding.
    • Work with HRSS to support payroll raw data consolidation and final payroll reports verifications.
    • Implement global HR initiatives at the market level and adapt these as per local needs.
    • Other ad hoc duties as required by management.

    PROFILE

    • With solid HR operations and talent acquisition background, retail industry experience preferred.
    • Passionate in retail, positive, organized, efficient.
    • Solution focused, results driven, proactive and resourceful.
    • Strong communication skills and able to build relationship with business stakeholders.
    • Technology savvy and fast to learn new system. Able to utilize digital resources to improve efficiency. Workday experience is a plus.
    • Willing to travel as necessary to visit markets.
