Your Opportunity
To create meaningful experience led Retail Design for a consumer-focused global brand. Scope of role retail store design, architectural or interior design experiences. You are known for innovative retail concepts and fixturing. Ensuring the store concept and business rationale are clearly delivered in each project. This person will have the opportunity to work across a host of creative functions, facades, finishes as well as built environments and installation experience led spaces, developing creative ideas in very different final landing spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Working on all physical environments, take ownership on creativity and productivity across all elements of store design.
Ability to lead a team to drive delivery of creativity and production, being able to pivot and work across a host of projects from flagship store design, experiences in retail through consumer interacting elements such as fixtures and furniture.
Consistent awareness of the market, being able to compile research documents for C-suite illustration.
Able to represent work at key partner meetings, have firm grasp on all elements of projects.
Build strong relationships within the team and cross functionally. Listen and collaborate. In addition to the team, build relationships within other internal department, as well as across the organization. Supporting the Design Director in C-Suite presentations, to keep inspiring the global teams.
Focused on developing innovative space layout design to enhance consumer experiences in stores.
Materials sourcing, firm focus on sustainability as well as luxury.
Establish and define retail design standards across the portfolio globally: brand guidelines, template sets, fixture design, and other standards to ensure a global consistency at retail.
Seeing opportunities in the market and being able to use creativity to support commercial streams.
Consistently being able to pull together design packages and presentation materials.
Ability to work on iconic global façade types with openness to collaborate.
Ability to drive and manage external studios for DD packs, construction drawings and specialist elements.
Core Accountabilities/Measures of Success
Working on 40-50 projects estimate annually across all stores and occasional ‘special projects’.
Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams.
Ensure projects are smoothly handed over and delivered to regional construction teams.
Driving next level design both in the now and future.
Delivering key stores on time and to budget
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
Degree level in Architecture or Interior Design.
Relevant experience of architecture design in luxury retail.
Creative design sensibility
Confident creative point of view
Technical capability and ability to influence and negotiate confidently with cross-functional partners.
Knowledge of current market trends and competitor approaches.
Well organised, flexible, adaptable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and share information effectively.
Collaborative team player with strong initiative.
Software: Autocad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Rhinoceros, Microsoft Office, 3D studioMAX
