Today, Saint Laurent’s collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties, and eyewear.
ROLE
We are currently looking for a Product & Retail Training Specialist reporting to the WW Product & Retail Training Manager. In this role, you will actively contribute to the development of the Maison’s retail training programs.
Your primary objective will be to assist in the creation of training content, materials and tools across to animate worldwide retail training, with a strong focus on digital formats. Additionally, you will be required to conduct training sessions in France or internationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: Create comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of retail staff, including e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
- Assess Training Needs: Conduct surveys, interviews, and consultations with store managers and retail training community to identify training needs and skill gaps.
- Create Training Materials: Develop engaging training materials such as manuals, presentations, and online content.
- Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver training sessions using various methods, including in-person, online, and blended learning approaches.
- Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with store managers, retail training community and other stakeholders to ensure training aligns with business goals.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest retail trends and training techniques to continuously improve training programs.
- Provide Ongoing Support: Offer continuous support and coaching to retail staff and trainers, ensuring they can apply their training effectively.
- Manage Training Logistics: Coordinate training schedules, venues, and resources to ensure smooth execution of training programs, as needed.
- Maintain Training Records: Keep accurate records of training activities, progress, and outcomes.
- Conduct research on imagery, materials, and craftsmanship in collaboration with various stakeholders within the Retail Training department (Merchandising, Development, and Image teams/ Regions, stores).
- Develop training materials for both permanent and seasonal collections, covering Men’s and Women’s Ready-to-Wear and Accessories.
- Develop training for the stores (styling behaviors...)
- Create and write compelling content, including product descriptions, storytelling, client benefits, and styling recommendations.
- Design digital training tools using available software and digitize existing training content.
- Propose and develop new training formats and tools.
- Customize in-person training materials to tailor them to different training audiences.
- Assist in organizing training events in coordination with Regional Training Managers.
- Occasionally conduct training sessions in boutiques.

PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Retail Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail training, fashion, merchandising or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in e-learning platforms and training software.
- Ability to create engaging training materials, adapt to various learning styles, and foster a positive learning environment.
- Fluent in English, with additional language proficiency highly preferred.
- Strong product sensitivity and passion for fashion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint); knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
