We are currently seeking a Wholesale Sales Assistant for our Dept Stores Team – with special focus on our Maui Jim brand. The position will report to the VP of Department Stores , based out of our NYC office.
Your opportunity
The Wholesale Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting the account executive sales team in the management and growth of their assigned department store accounts. The Wholesale Sales Assistant will assist the team in daily tasks, be a key support contact for accounts, and ensure the smooth operation of sales activities.
How you will contribute
Sales Support
- Assist account executives with all logistical, operational, and administrative tasks related to department store accounts for the Maui Jim brand
- Create and/or update sell out reports, PO logs, allocation log, any other reports needed to support sales team
- Analyze weekly selling reports, track sales performance of Maui Jim business, and assist in identifying reorder opportunities for accounts
- Assist with market preparation including linesheet creation and NuOrder set up; when possible, assist in client appointments.
Operational Support
- Develop close working relationships with the operations and customer service team to process, update, and track customer orders; communicate all relevant updates to sales team
- Order processing: manage order entry, processing, and follow-up to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product
Customer Support
- Communicate on a regular basis with customers on matters related to POs and/or shipping status
- Assist customers by answering questions, providing information, and resolving issues in a timely manner to avoid issues that will negatively impact sales
- Coordinate sample distribution to and from accounts
Additional Support
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams- customer service, marketing, field team, planning, and credit
- Ecommerce: Attain assets and copy for each season; arrange seasonal sample shoot timing with clients; monitor sites regularly for product accuracy (i.e., display, imagery, copy, etc.); Drop Ship management
- Product knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offering
- Representative of the Kering brand always, demonstrating professionalism
Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years of work experience in relevant role/industry
- Very proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical/data-driven
- Attention to detail
- Organized, ability to manage daily workload and multitask
- Ability to build relationships with retail partners
- Flexible, adaptable, reliable and able to work well under pressure
- Skypad and NuOrder experience, a plus

Salary Range:
The Salary Rang for the position is 55-70k USD/year, with discretional bonus.
