Discover the Group’s GHG emissions.
Kering’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are calculated according to the GHG Protocol standard.
The Group’s carbon footprint in 2023 totaled 2,596,739 tons of CO2 equivalent (tCO₂e) (Scopes 1, 2 and 3), including 22,841 tons from energy use (Scopes 1 and 2) and 2,573,898 tons from upstream and downstream activities (Scope 3). Operations under Kering’s direct control (Scopes 1 and 2) therefore account for around 1% of the Group’s total carbon footprint.
90% absolute reduction by 2030
Scopes 1 & 2 (tCO2e)
70% intensity reduction by 2030
Scope 3 (tCO2e/€m of gross margin)
Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions decreased by more than 20% in 2023 versus 2022, primarily as a result of a 31% reduction in Scope 1 emissions in relation to energy consumption at the Group’s sites and vehicles fuel consumption.
Scope 3 CO₂ emissions decreased by 12% in 2023 versus 2022, mainly led by the 15% decrease in emissions relating to purchased goods and services (Category 1 according to GHG Protocol).
